You’ll be responsible for designing and developing websites and website applications. Using a variety of programming languages and web technologies, manage site functionality, and integrate security measures.
You want to jump between thinking big and thinking small. You care about the details as much as the big picture. You create structures and make process into an art form.

We do it because it has impact, it helps someone, it makes their lives easier or better or just more fun.

PlanZ has nearly doubled in size since our launch in 2015 and we’re not slowing down anytime soon. We’ve put our heart and soul into our work and it makes us immensely proud to see where we’ve come. Culture is one of those words. People throw it around a lot. It’s hard to define exactly what it is. But it’s something you feel pretty much straight away.
We’re not going to lie. The culture at Plan Z isn’t perfect. Like every group of people we have our issues. But we are all dedicated to continuing to improve, and we think that’s a pretty good start.

Strength through diversity
When people come from different backgrounds the work they create together becomes better. We don't look for culture fits, we look for culture additions. The people of Plan Z come from different areas of Karachi, and from all walks of life. About half of our people are men, even almost half of our leadership team are men.
Every year the whole company goes away for a week. All our people come together from our different offices to work and play together. It’s a time to remind ourselves that behind the avatar is a real person, and a time for all of us to help shape the vision of who we want to become. So far we’ve planned to go to Gorakh Hills, Hunza Valley, Kund Malir & Ormara.

Do great work in a strong culture and live your life
Life happens. It’s a fact, we’ve checked. It’s the good and the bad, the ups and downs. And we want to be there with you every step of the way. We want to give you space when you need it, time when you want it, money whenever.
We want to do everything we can to help you live your life. It won’t always be easy but we want to do whatever we can to not make it unnecessarily hard.
We enjoy our work but we want to have time to explore the world, to spend time with our friends and family. Or alone. All Plan Z people get at least 22.5 days of paid time off every year.
When life hits, it can hit hard. We want to be there to support in any way we can. If something serious happens with your family, Plan Z gives at minimum five days paid time off. We know that might not be enough so additional time is given as needed.
Free lunches frequently
There’s something magical about eating together. Plan Z offers delivered lunches every other month. We also have cafe nearby to ensure constant munching.
Wait, there’s more! We also give all our people birthday cake(if we like them), a day off on birthday, a way to save on your commute and all sorts of other nice little things to help our people live their best lives.

Can I work remote?
We don’t offer any remote roles for new employees at the moment. If you are an independent, senior person with amazing communication skills then we can explore remote after you’ve worked here for a while. But if you don’t currently work at Plan Z then this is not something we can support.
Can I freelance with you?
Potentially, yes. But you will almost definitely need to a) have a valid NOC from the place you're currently working and b) be physically present at the office from where your project will be run.
Can I join Plan Z as an intern?
That depends on when you are reading this. Plan Z sometimes takes on interns, and when we do they are listed at the top of this page. If you don’t see an open intern role there, then we don’t have anything open at the moment.
Can I just come in for a coffee and chat?
We get it, you may want to check out the digs first or maybe ask for advice. But we get a lot of requests from people that want to stop by and we unfortunately can't accommodate everyone. If you do want to stop by - you should inquire first, since we have regular Chatty Hours at our offices.
